Your Journey Starts Here was founded on the belief that every person deserves support that is compassionate, respectful and centred around their individual goals.
Our founder’s background in nursing, combined with lived experience as the parent of children with disabilities, has shaped the values that guide everything we do. We understand that every journey is unique, which is why we take the time to build genuine relationships, listen carefully and provide personalised supports that reflect what matters most to each participant.
By working alongside participants and their families, we help build confidence, independence and meaningful participation in everyday life.

Amanda White
Founder & Director
Amanda is the founder of Your Journey Starts Here and the heart behind the care and support our company provides. With a background in nursing and lived experience as a parent of children with disabilities, she understands both the professional and personal side of supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges.
Driven by a genuine passion for helping others, Amanda created Your Journey Starts Here to ensure every person feels supported, included, valued and never alone. She believes everyone deserves the opportunity to live a meaningful life with the right support, genuine connections and people who truly care by their side.
Through years of experience, research and advocacy within the disability sector, Amanda has developed a strong expertise of the NDIS, community services and a strong understanding of the challenges many families face. Her compassionate leadership and commitment to person-centred care ensure participants and their families receive guidance, encouragement and support every step of their journey.
Tennille Bugge-Muscat
Office Manager
Tennille is our dedicated Office Manager who keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes at Your Journey Starts Here. She works closely with participants, families and staff to ensure everyone feels supported, informed and welcomed from their very first interaction.
With experience in office administration and support work, Tennille combines exceptional organisational skills with genuine compassion. Her calm approach, reliability and willingness to help make her someone both participants and colleagues know they can rely on.
Tennille’s dedication and caring nature make her an invaluable part of the Your Journey Starts Here family.
Tessa Apisai
Office Administrator
Tessa is our wonderful Office Administrator and she brings warmth, positivity and laughter to the team every day. Friendly, caring and approachable, she has a natural ability to make participants and families feel welcomed, comfortable and supported.
Before becoming a Service Coordinator, Tessa worked as a support worker, giving her valuable insight into the needs of participants and the importance of person-centred care. She enjoys building genuine relationships and helping people work towards their goals with confidence.
With her caring nature, reliability and willingness to help wherever needed, Tessa is a much-loved member of the Your Journey Starts Here team.
Chantelle White
Support Coordinator- Early Intervention
Chantelle is our passionate Early Intervention Support Coordinator with a background in primary education and more than 10 years of experience supporting children and families. She is passionate about helping children of all abilities reach their full potential through personalised, family-centred support.
With additional training in disability, communication including AAC and Auslan and behaviour support, Chantelle brings extensive knowledge and understanding to her role. She works closely with families to navigate the NDIS, build confidence and connect children with the supports they need to thrive.
Her warmth, professional expertise and genuine dedication make her a trusted support for children and families throughout their journey.
Ben Opoku
Support Coordinator
Ben is one of our trusted Support Coordinators and is committed to ensuring participants and families feel heard, understood and supported every step of the way. His calm nature, kindness and attention to detail help him build genuine relationships based on trust and respect.
With a background in education and extensive experience working with children and young people, Ben brings patience, professionalism and a thoughtful approach to supporting participants. He takes the time to understand each person’s goals and works alongside them to find the right supports and opportunities.
Ben’s genuine care for others and commitment to achieving positive outcomes make him a valued member of the Your Journey Starts Here team.
William White
Administration Assistant
William is our amazing Administration Assistant and brings warmth, positivity and kindness to everyone he meets. His friendly personality and welcoming smile brighten the office each day and help create a supportive environment for participants, families and colleagues.
William plays an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the organisation and is always ready to lend a helping hand. Whether he’s assisting staff behind the scenes or welcoming participants into the office, he approaches every task with enthusiasm and care.
His positive attitude, strong work ethic and genuine care for others make William a much-loved member of the Your Journey Starts Here team.
Ashlee Zuvela
Support Coordinator
Ashlee is one of our Support Coordinators and is passionate about helping participants and their families navigate the NDIS with confidence. With a warm, approachable nature and a genuine commitment to person-centred care, she supports participants to achieve their goals and access the services they need.
Holding a Master of Primary Teaching, Ashlee spent nine years as a primary school teacher before joining the team. Her experience working alongside children, families and allied health professionals has given her a strong foundation in advocacy, communication and person-centred support.
Known for her empathy, organisation and ability to build strong relationships, Ashlee is dedicated to helping participants feel heard, supported and empowered throughout their NDIS journey.
Mickaela Espera
Compliance Manager
Mickaela is our Admin and Compliance Manager at Your Journey Starts Here. She supports the team with compliance, documentation and administration, helping ensure our services align with NDIS requirements while keeping everything organised behind the scenes.
With a background in Psychology, Mickaela is passionate about contributing to safe, high-quality support and enjoys knowing her work helps make a positive difference for both the team and the people we support. She values being part of a welcoming, inclusive organisation where everyone feels supported, and takes pride in helping the team deliver the best possible outcomes for participants.
